With the overwhelming amount of knowledge and information that is now available and that we are confronted with on a daily basis, it can be difficult to discern what is helpful, beneficial and in alignment with the principles of faith, and what is not.
In Awakenings Academy, you will have the opportunity to participate in weekly study circle sessions in which we cover relevant topics related to personal growth and spiritual development with the intention of clarifying and qualifying contemporary information with classical knowledge and wisdom so that we may progress upon the path to the Divine Presence of Allah Almighty.
In Awakenings Academy, you will have the opportunity to strengthen, deepen and make increasingly real your faith with a classical system and methodology of spiritual development that draws from an established lineage of teachers which can be traced directly back to the the last and final prophet and messenger of God, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The original method of training and transformation of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was that of companionship and association, or suhba in Arabic. This is the most effective means of change and transformation via transmission from heart to heart, and is the fastest path to spiritual development and the awakening of consciousness.
Furthermore, it is only when suhba is coupled with dhikr, or the remembrance of God in a classical litany, that true grace and guidance are received. In this way, the hearts of seekers are healed and awakened, and worldly burdens are reduced and diminished. In this way, the sweetness of faith is experienced and the student is increasingly inspired with love for his or her Lord.
