Death is a Gift for the Living

While current, contemporary, modern and materialist culture views death as a disease that must be cured and evaded even in thought, traditional and faith-based culture teaches us that death is in fact a gift from the Divine, and that it is death that provides true value and meaning to life.

In this excerpt from a live session within Awakening Academy, I share that it is only through the embracing of death that we mature as human and spiritual beings, and that by remembering death often as the Noble Prophet Muhammad ﷺ advised, we remain on purpose and in alignment with divine will and the reason for our creation.

By remembering and embracing the inevitability of death, we reduce attachment to the physical and material plane that is the source of suffering for sentient beings. Furthermore, when we attach ourselves to the Transcendent and the Divine rather than that which is fleeting and dying, we liberate our souls from the prison of the temporal and transitory world that inhibits and limits our potential as human beings.

In this video, I also share how to use the sacred night for its intended purpose of spiritual awakening, and I remind that the true purpose of faith, religion and spirituality is the enlightenment of the human soul, which is but the transmutation of our very selves into luminous beings connected the Source of Light—our Lord and Creator, Allah Almighty.

May He, Exalted and Supreme, guide us to lives of sacred and divine purpose, free our hearts and souls from the inherent fear of death, and grant us the light of true faith and certainty within our hearts.

Allahumma ameen.

To your divine and eternal success.
