While it may be easy to dismiss outright topics such as manifestation and the law of attraction as incompatible with Islam due to the fact that they are typically promulgated by proponents of New Age spirituality, doing so is an impediment to a deeper understanding of Islam.
In the classical world, Muslim scholars and thinkers had very open hearts and minds when encountering knowledge in new and different forms, and this approach in fact led to the Islamic Golden Age. When encountering new or different concepts and models, we fall short of spiritual excellence by refusing to consider how and what is compatible with traditional faith, as well as how such knowledge can help us better understand Islam itself.
The truth is that when properly understood, ideas and concepts such as manifestation and the law of attraction are not only compatible with Islam, but key to a deeper understanding of the purpose of faith and religion, and help us grow spiritually by focusing on the internal and inner dimension of religion, which is entirely about the cultivation of a state of peace, harmony and love.
This state is known expressly as the state of Islam, and is a state of being that reflects a deeper choice to believe. Such a state is in harmony with the divine will of Allah Almighty, and is also the most attractive state with regards to positive outcomes, events and circumstances.
