The Messenger of God ﷺ taught explicitly that all human beings are equal, and that what differentiates them is but their piety, humility and God-consciousness. He ﷺ taught that the true measure of a man is not their physical strength and material power, but rather their compassion and love for one another.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stated explicitly that all human beings are dependent upon the mercy of God, and that they who lacked love and compassion for others would be they who have lost all that truly matters.
Sadly and tragically, despite claims to the contrary, most human beings have not and do not follow the way, religion and teachings of the prophets of God, and instead manipulate and distort truth to serve not the Divine, but rather the self.
One of the diseases of the heart that has plagued the unconscious since the dawn of humanity is racism, and the sense of ethno-supremacy or racial superiority. Yet the truth is that ethno-supremacy did originate with mankind. Rather, beliefs in ethno-supremacy, racism and racial superiority originated in the primordial world.
The first known instance of ethno-supremacy takes place when Allah Almighty created the first man, Adam (as), and then commanded all of creation to bow down and prostrate before him. While all of creation obeyed including even the mighty angels of God, Iblis refused, and was thereafter called Shaytan, or Satan.
The specific reason he gave for his refusal of God’s command was that he believed he was made of a superior substance, that he was somehow created superior. This then constitutes the first recorded instance of ethno-supremacy, and they who harbor such a sense are in reality following in the footsteps of Satan, regardless of any claims to the contrary.
We pray that Allah Almighty purify our hearts and souls from the darkness of the lower self and the pride, arrogance and self-delusion it harbors, that we may be of the successful both in this life and the next.
We also pray that Allah Almighty grant us the means and the power to act as righteous servants of light and goodness in the world, establishing justice and preventing oppression, tyranny and evil.
Towards this noble path of spiritual excellence, may Allah Almighty grant us the character and constitution of noble spiritual warriors who seek transcendence, beauty and the awakening of divine purpose and potential.
Allahumma ameen.
To your divine and eternal success.
